Stranger Things actor Caleb McLaughlin opened up about the racism he has dealt with since Season 1.
In a video of a Q&A session at Heroes Comic Con Belgium, posted to Twitter by user @spiderchalamet, McLaughlin revealed he remembers that "some people didn't stand in my line [at Comic-Con] because I was Black." He added that, when he was younger, it affected him a lot, and his parents had to sit him down and tell him that he was treated differently because he was "a Black child on the show." McLaughlin added that he hopes to turn the hatred into positivity, explaining "With my platform, I wanna spread positivity and love because I do not give hate back to people who give hate to me."
