Top Gun: Maverick has officially grossed more in its domestic first-run than Titanic, Paramount Pictures' all-time highest-grossing film.
According to a report from Deadline, Top Gun: Maverick's domestic first-run release numbers are $601.9 million against Titanic's $600.7 million. This is Paramount's best year since 2014, as they have raked in nearly $1 billion in sales. The landmark achievement reflects the duo of director Joseph Kosinski and headliner Tom Cruise, both of whom previously collaborated for the 2013 sci-fi film Oblivion.
